Chapter 322: Switching Sides
Chapter 322: Switching Sides
Florence Locke knew well how to deal with a Great National Master who had already made a move against ordinary people.
A Great National Master was essentially a double-edged sword; no one could predict them. They could foresee the fortunes of the nation and naturally could use what they foresaw to alter everything.
Used well, it’s a benefit to the country and its people.
Used poorly, it creates a demon for the world.
Florence Locke recounted a story to Thea Shaw: "Do you know? The first generation Great National Master was born together with the founding emperor of Qirenia, but there is no record of this Great National Master in Qirenia’s history books. Do you know why?"
Thea Shaw widened her eyes: "I haven’t heard of that."
Since the history books did not record it, of course, she didn’t know these things.
Florence Locke sighed and said: "He did something wrong, lost his way. Being at the top became a habit; he couldn’t integrate back into humanity and saw the common people as ants. It was the founding emperor who noticed the anomaly and acted in time to execute him. Otherwise, Qirenia would not be the same as what we see today."
Thea Shaw paused for a moment: "Whether we can see it or not doesn’t matter anymore, after all, both of us have already traveled through time."
"That’s true." Florence Locke was distracted: "If not for this time travel, Master could never have imagined there was such a rebellious place in this world!"
"..." Thea Shaw said: "Master, don’t worry. I know what you’re concerned about, but I love this world, and I have a sense of propriety. But what about you, how are things with Julian Sinclair lately?"
Florence Locke’s face turned a peculiar shade of red: "You shouldn’t meddle in Master’s affairs!"
Thea Shaw: "..."
Alright, it seems not only is it ongoing, but they’re also continuing under the radar.
Thea Shaw continued to ask: "And your work? The matter with Julia Wyatt was resolved last time, do you have any other business now?"
"Not that much!"
Florence Locke finished speaking and started waving her hand: "When there’s business, Master will call you. The current matters, Master can handle."
Thea Shaw obediently said: "Okay!"
After chatting with Florence Locke, Thea Shaw was about to head back.
She saw various snacks on the roadside and planned to buy something to eat with Aurora Sutton at the hospital.
While buying a cake, a few young girls next to her pointed at her and whispered: "Is that her?"
"It is, it is!"
"Oh my god, I thought the photos were photoshopped, but in reality, she’s really this beautiful."
"Her poise is incredible, look at that smooth neckline, like a reincarnated swan!"
Thea Shaw was used to receiving attention when she went out, but these girls were different; they watched her with such excitement from not far away.
Thea Shaw glanced over curiously, and those girls made a sound like roosters crowing, seemingly thrilled that their idol had noticed them.
Thea Shaw: "..."
What’s going on, is her striking beauty causing people to lose composure?
The girls only took one look at Thea Shaw and dared not approach her, and Thea Shaw didn’t think much of it. She carried the cake and headed back.
As she was halfway, she received a call from Marcus Lynch: "Didn’t you tell me you wouldn’t enter the entertainment industry?"
"Yes, of course not." Thea Shaw was puzzled: "Of course I wouldn’t enter the entertainment industry, why are you suddenly asking me such a strange question?"
Marcus Lynch was somewhat puzzled: "Then how did you get on the trending searches? By the way, who was that guy taking photos with you? He’s insanely handsome, now all the idol fans are clamoring to switch their allegiances."
Thea Shaw: "..."
