Chapter 435: Where Are the Other Two?
Chapter 435: Where Are the Other Two?
Thea Shaw wasn’t unaware of the existence of the 996 schedule.
But her understanding of 996 was that it was the amount of work assigned by the boss that couldn’t be completed each day.
With such a large workload, naturally, there’s only overtime.
After all, as someone who hasn’t worked before, how much could she possibly understand about work?
She never thought that even after finishing work, she’d have to wait for the boss to return and give the nod before leaving, this kind of unspoken rule.
But when she saw the whole office hadn’t left, both Thea Shaw and Aurora Sutton suddenly realized there was probably an issue.
The two glanced at each other, and compared to Aurora’s silence, Thea asked directly, "Can’t we leave yet?"
Her question.
Made the office atmosphere a bit awkward.
In the management department, the workload isn’t too much, nor too little.
But now that it’s time to clock out, it’s impossible to openly explain such rules.
Hailey King, who was already a bit dissatisfied, pulled out a pile of documents from her desk and sneered, "You finished your work?"
Thea responded directly, "All the urgent work that needed to be submitted is done, what’s left is ongoing work, it’s now clock-out time, can’t we go?"
Hailey indifferently said, "If you want to leave, then leave, no one’s stopping you."
When the manager returns and sees a new employee being so clueless, there wouldn’t even be a need for her to report it.
Rowan Donovan could only look down and send a text to explain to Thea.
Thea got the gist but just smiled and pulled Aurora Sutton along, "Let’s go."
Aurora thought for a moment, leaving when work hours end is reasonable behavior.
No matter if there are any unspoken rules, once she truly takes charge of Kensington Group, she won’t tolerate such exploitation.
Aurora noted this and left work with Thea.
Seeing the two of them really leave, everyone in the office was dumbfounded.
After a while, someone snickered lowly, "Truly, a young bull isn’t afraid of a tiger."
Rowan Donovan didn’t know how to persuade them, she had already texted, but Thea not returning was in vain.
Hailey King spoke sarcastically, "She’s on her first day and doesn’t know anything." Then looked at Rowan, "You, as the team leader, don’t know how to explain?"
Rowan hesitated, lips moving but didn’t know how to respond.
Hailey was frustrated by Thea, and once she left, she vented all her anger on Rowan.
Seeing Rowan didn’t dare to respond, Hailey felt relieved, but before she could continue, the elevator dinged, and everyone looked up to see the manager and deputy manager of the management department, with grim faces, walking in hurriedly.
Their expressions obviously showed displeasure!
Everyone could guess that because of Vivian Doyle’s matter, the higher-ups were in a mess, and they would take it out on the subordinates.
The root of this issue was the planning department, while other departments got caught in the crossfire, and the management department’s manager getting scolded for no reason couldn’t possibly be happy.
Even Hailey wouldn’t dare to provoke them at this time.
But she didn’t need to remind anyone, the manager and deputy manager hurriedly walked in, seeming to have no intention of dealing with the office staff, and naturally, no one dared to breathe loudly. As they were about to enter the office, the manager suddenly glanced around and noticed two empty seats.
With two new employees in the office, both approved, the manager knew, so he stopped in his tracks, frowned, and asked:
"Weren’t there two more people here?"
